Speech Pathologist, Tia Pearce, explains the causes of and treatment for Tongue Thrust, which is so often responsible for causing tooth displacement in children that subsequently needs to be treated by Orthodontics. As Tia describes, the condition can be detected early and treatment is simple and effective and may even avoid the need for Orthodontics, if treated early. In the second part of the interview, Dr Mandikos asks Tia about her views on Tongue Tie in infants and if, how and when it should be treated.
