Edentulous digital impressions remain one of the most challenging applications of intraoral scanning. Without fixed anatomical landmarks, achieving an accurate, predictable scan requires a refined strategy, a solid understanding of scanner behavior, and thoughtful clinical execution. This course is designed to provide clinicians with clear, practical tips and tricks for scanning edentulous arches using the 3Shape TRIOS system. Moving beyond basic scanning concepts, the lecture focuses on real-world techniques that improve scan stability, data accuracy, and overall efficiency chairside. Participants will learn how to optimize scan paths, manage soft tissue movement, utilize available reference structures, and recognize common pitfalls that can compromise scan quality.
