Course Overview
Designed for experienced dentists, this two-day course focuses on advanced implant surgery. You’ll gain skills through live demonstrations and hands-on practice to refine your surgical expertise. Theory and hands-on for guided bone regeneration, maxillary sinus lifts, and more. Upon successful completion of the Advanced Implant Surgical Techniques course, participants should be able to possess a more in-depth knowledge of anatomy, biology and physiology relevant to dental implants; treatment plan for more advanced dental implant surgeries; understand the range of hard tissue augmentation materials available; know when and how to use barrier membranes; know when and how to increase alveolar ridge width; know when and how to modify alveolar bone density during implant placement; know when and how to employ maxillary sinus augmentation; and know when and how to place implants at the time of tooth extraction. The curriculum covers further concepts in alveolar bone anatomy, biology and physiology; hard tissue graft material options and selection; barrier membrane concepts, materials and selection; theory and techniques to increase alveolar ridge width; immediate implant placement concepts and techniques; bone compression theory and technique; maxillary sinus anatomy and physiology; and maxillary sinus lift theory and techniques.
